Dear Jeff-- I have a son who's successfully maneuvered a tech start-up to a crucial point (just
at the start of beta test); he wants & needs advice as he plans his next move, and I can't give
him any. I know how busy you are, but I thought I'd start at the top (he had the same
thought). Is there any chance he could speak with you on the phone, or stop by briefly? He
lives a few blocks from your Frick place.
This weekend I had a piece in the WSJ on a topic we talked about years ago
(httogion.wsi.comitoNtum. I'd have bet lots that someone would have figured it out by now--
putting yr digital stuff in one place,so you can keep an eye on everything, and let software do
the work of arranging & finding--you called it a prosthetic memory; but the bigs figure that,
given all the money they're making on steam locos, why bother with airplanes? (Or cars, for
that matter.) I can't blame them.
Thanks,
David
