Subject Re: Jeffrey Epstein
HiM,
Jeffrey's skin biopsy resulted in several successful, viable fibroblast cultures. Those cell lines are
now stored in liquid nitrogen and slated for iPS cell line ("adult stem cells") creation. Essentially,
this process requires several culture passages, and reiteration of picking out the right colony for
further passages. Success rate of generating iPS cells is relatively high now but the process still
takes several months.
On the DNA side of things, I'm working on getting Jeffrey's sample into the current queue. If it
makes it, we're probably looking at about 2 months turnaround time until whole genome data.
Let me know if I can help with other questions.
Best,
Joe
