It's a good time to shop around. We have a little time. Magazines are good too.

Ok. Sounds good. I do know there is a marble/granite slab company right next door to
Stepping Stones showroom in Norwalk. The guy I spoke to yesterday told me I should go
have a look there

I would leave marble for marble guys and cabinets for cabinet people but if
its free listen to the kitchen people. Also kitchen guys do a lot of granite
slabs so you could get a good deal from them and you won't have to deal
with multiple contractors. Anything goes wrong, call the kitchen people.
Also its good for timing purposes.

Wow. That is a huge differential in price. I know that Nukitchens has a
design team for backsplash and a "colorist" on staff. Do I use Valerie at
Stepping Stones or do I use Nukitchens for the kitchen backsplash? It's like
an overlap. I need tile design for bathrooms too. My gut tells me I go with
Valerie at SS. ...I know the marble floor and tile for bathrooms should
come from her.

The marble email went to junk email! Valerie is the women I
was told is a good designer. Tile is not easy because of all the
various combinations. Pick what you want and we can get
pricing to see if we can keep them in line.
I just bought a bunch of marble for a client and they were
quoted 35 per sq ft . I I got it for 11.
