The meeting will be held in the Seminar Room of the Museum of the Rockies on the Montana
State University campus located at 600 West Kagy Blvd, Bozeman, Montana.
The tentative schedule for the event looks like this:
October 23rd - participant arrival. All participants will be picked up at the airport unless they
choose to come in their own vehicle (at their own cost).
October 24th - 8:30 am : transport to the museum
9:00 am : tour of the museum and lab facilities
10:00 am : Jack Homer and Hans Larsson will introduce the history of the project

Ihe reason tbr bringing five people from Georgia is that
this group is
proposing to do a
bioinformatics-
based
approach using
comparative gene
expression
profiling to
identify likely
targets and
transgenic
technologies to
modify their
expression and/or
function in chicken
embryos. this is
really big, and a
very important
component for the
success of this
project.
Also, the post-dots I have working here at MSU have
gotten the
protocol to create
transgenic quail,
which we hope
will work for most
experiments.

In-country airfare (Athens or Greenville): $600 x 6 =

Out of country (Montreal): $800 x 1 = $800
Hotel: $125 x 6 x 3 nights = $2,250 (one sets of people
will share)
Meals: $50 x II x 2 = $1,100 (two lunches and two
dinners would be
catered)
$50 x 7 x 2 = $700 (meals for participants during travel to
and from)
Transportation: $200 (transportation to and from the
hotel and museum)
