ok, so the replacement cost is for the existing house at the moment... When we go
in for the policy for the builders risk coverage is when we up it to what the new
house would cost to replace. I understand.
We sent a new estimate to Bank of New Canaan for the house we arc going to
build and it is estimated at $1,945,765.00
Thanks!

HiIII I apologize. I started this e-mail yesterday morning and am just getting around

When you purchased this home earlier this year, Chubb went out to do an appraisal. I
believe I sent out the appraisal in May. Based on the square footage of the home, they
came up with the $1.2m as replacement cost which is the number we went in with.
Since it renewed in August, it was bumped up a little to $1.236m. I am attaching a page
from the appraisal that gives you a description of what Replacement cost means and the
benefits. For refi closing purposes, I left the amount as is ($1.236m).
When we endorse the policy for the 'course of construction' (builders risk coverage) we
go in with 'completed value'. Chubb will be in touch with you a few times in the course
of construction for an inspection and then do a final inspection once the house is
completed. You sent this e-mail below on the 6'h, regarding completed value. If you
think we should lower that a little we can. I just need to know when I ask Chubb to
process the coverage.

Hi Barbara...I let Elena and Christina know you will be contacted them....We now believe
the cost of the house, when finished, would be 2 million to replace...
Thanks,

Good morning Barbara and thank you for helping us out. We are wondering how you
came up with the dollar amount for coverage? We believe our house in the end will be
at least 1,500,000 of not more. Possibly 1,800,000. Does this matter?

Michael: Attached please find evidence of insurance for the above
property. I understand the closing should probably take place by the end of
September. If someone could please let us know when it does take place
so we can amend the policy accordingly, we'd appreciate it.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
