Good for her for (at least now) realizing what she would like to do...Is there a date set for her wedding? I know Laura was very excited last summer just thinking about planning a wedding. Would love if you and Laura came up for a visit...!The fall is a great time to come to NY...really nice weather at that time. Things are good with us. We purchased another house one mile from the one we live in...we are going to demo it and build a new one! Very exciting but going through tons of red tape just to get a permit to demo it...we have renters in there now anyway so we can't do anything until Sept. I5...but come to find out we must do an asbestos and lead paint inspection and if something is found, it could be another 4-6 weeks before we can start the demolition! The plans will be done mid august and I am loving the house!! Ike's business is going well....he does say it is a changed world out there and it is harder to get clients, but they are doing it! They opened up an office in London and they have an over night guy who trades Asia if anyone wants it. (that guy has not been very busy though however...its one of those things, they want to offer it to be a one stop shop house, and be able to tell clients it is available, but no one is really using it. Kali has moved to Pearland (south side of Houston) with Elliott Hardy, her finance. He graduated this spring and is working at a gym as a coach...what he wanted to do when he graduated (much to his parents' dismay, we think). Kali is doing some part-time coaching also, I believe. However, the main thing she is doing is getting prepared to get into nursing school. She has decided her first degree is more "honorary" from a financial standpoint and is going back to get something she can make some $$ with. Of course, I thought she should've been in the medical field from the start, but she was not confident in her abilities to do the hard science and math courses. History has proved me correct. Ok, Ty and I are coming to TX on Thursday Aug. 23rd...Ike will come on Friday Aug. 24th and we all go home on Monday Aug. 27th. Ty starts school on 28th. This was really the only way we could make a trip happen...I wish I would cross over with Ash, but we can't. Ty and I arrive at 3:35pm on the 23rd and our flight out is at 11:35am.
