O1/O2 2011. These include our recent partnership with Symantec, our Commonwealth Club event, and our

I. Help Drought and Famine Victims in East Africa
The United Nations recently declared a state of famine in Somalia. You can help the victims! Based on
our extensive network with NGOs in East Africa. UniversalGiving has compiled opportunities and a
spotlight article on our website to contribute. We have also been working with the Christian Science Monitor
to spread awareness and encourage giving.
II. Fast Company Selects CEO as an Expert Slogger
Pamela Hawley, the CEO of UniversalGiving, was chosen as a Fast Company Expert Blogger on Corporate

Pamela Hawley presented at the Commonwealth Club of California on "Global Corporate Social
Responsibility: How You Can Scale Your Philanthropy and Volunteer Programs Worldwide- As told by CEOs
& CSR Executives at Fortune 500 Companies." She interviewed top executives Mark Edmunds (Deloitte),
Gabriele Zedlmayer (Hewlett-Packard) and Trisa Thompson (Dell) to discuss their latest innovations in Global
CSR.
IV. UniversalGiving's Partnership Update: Symantec and Yonas Media
1. Symantec has chosen to partner with UniversalGiving Corporate. UniversalGiving Corporate is creating
the strategy and execution for Symantec's Global Volunteer Program in more than 40 countries.
UniversalGiving Corporate provides the strategic operations and communication plans to ensure Fortune 500
Companies are global leaders in Corporate Social Responsibility.
2. Yonas Media has launched a worldwide music tour and is partnering with UniversalGiving.
The tour visits over 20 cities, and promotes a local non-profit in each. They encourage their audiences to
support these non-profits. All donations are facilitated through our specially created Zion I and the Grouch
splashpage on the UniversalGiving website.
V. CEO's Inspirational Story Highlighted in Living the Life of My Dreams
Our CEO's personal essay was recently featured in the book bong the Life of My Dreams. Pamela wrote
about "A World of Harmonious Living.' where she discusses the inspirational moment she realized the
importance of getting involved globally. If you choose to purchase the book through this link, UniversalGiving
will receive 50% of the commission.
VI. UniversalGiving Advises the Public about Japanese Crisis Relief on the
Radio
In a recent radio interview, CEO Pamela Hawley shared about UniversalGiving's involvement in Japanese
crisis relief. She highlighted our key partners in this effort, such as Give2Asia International Medical Corps
and Relief International.
