Jeffrey, so sorry I could not make the last Dinner with Jeffrey! I had to get up at 3 am
next morning to catch the bus to march in New York. So we'll have to figure out another
way to get us all together.
Meanwhile, thank you so very much for your interest in supporting DC's inclusion in
American Masters. Your interest actually got the conversation at PBS restarted, and we

had a meeting this morning with Michael Kantor, who heads the American Masters
series. They are definitely in if we can get the money!
The way it works now is this: I give you Michael's contact information. As I understand
it, you know someone who may be able to support this (I spoke of it as "a friend of a
friend"). So your contact, or your office, or you, would contact Michael to let them know
of the support for this program, and I personally would officially give this part of the
process a wide berth from here on out, according to PBS rules that separate funding and
state.
