Hi Richard,
The AD-285 is most like y=ur older Maytag MDG30. This model is a bit longer and the exhaust is throu=h the top of the
machine.

The other model is Maytag's MDG35=N. It's a newer type of dryer that would require more frequent cle=ning of the lint
tray. The older models had a bigger lint drawer.
