Gulfstream has to manufacture the replacement angle that is corroded, deliv=ry date is Jan 4th.
Gulfstream engineering Savanah is reviewing the corroded area, taking into =ccount the part is not available
until Jan 4th, and not a saftey of flight=issue, we hope to obtain a 30 day extension from Engineering to require us=to
clean, prime and install new rivets as temporary repair.
I'm told I will have firm answer later today.,
Pylon Precooler:
I spoke to Tech support, Gulfstream recommends doing a full system integrit= check of PreCooler system and
cabin pressurization, which includes instal=ing a temporary digital temp sensor in the pylon to make sure hot air is
t=iggering the Pylon Precooler operation. Tech support suggest checking Air =ycle machine temperature outlet, since
functionality and temperatures of a=l pressurization components have an effect on preCooler operation.
If we get the 30 day extension, I'd like to have Westfield, Savanah or =runswick Gulfstream accomplish the
corrosion repair and accomplish Precool=r check,.
If you agree?
Thx
Larry
