New Credit Suisse boss has plenty of =hallenges in his in-tray

Tidjane Thiam described Credit =uisse as "an exceptional business" with "= solid strategy and strong momentum" when
the Prudential chief =xecutive was unveiled as the Swiss bank's =ew boss on Tuesday morning.
But once the 52-year-old takes over =rom Brady Dougan at Credit Suisse in June, he will face a string of =hallenges to
reverse the relative underperformance of the bank in =ecent years. A 7 per cent jump in the lender's shares on =uesday
shows that investors are optimistic he is up to the job. Here =re the main issues awaiting Mr Thiam.
