If the towel rail was to be placed outside the shower area, the longest it could be is 16 inches ... bath sheets
13 & 14 - door swing
15, 16, 17, 18 - location of towel rail, we cannot place a door stop on the upper part of the door; but John ... about 4 inchesfrom the wall which would workfine
Clearly you could buy another smaller towel rail set and use the one which is on site outside the closet area.
