Hi Richard,
The 2 projectors that we would recommend with higher lumens are Digital Projections E Vision and Optoma TH 7500, I
will go into specs below. These 2 models are geared more for commercial applications in large rooms such as
showrooms and corporate presentations where ambient light cannot be controlled, and that is usually the case with
high lumens devices. These units will be fairly loud due to the fact that the fan will have to work hard to cool off the
lamp, baffling can be installed to quiet them down a bit. I can't stress enough that lumens should not be the deciding
factor in choosing a projector for Jeff's media room, you'll probably get a sun tan and need sunglasses while watching
either one of these models.
Again if Jeff wants an image that is close to 35mm film in sharpness and detail the JVC is the way to go at his price point.
As I stated earlier the JVC is compared to the newer version of Jeff's current Sony (that is broken), the new Sony VPL-
VW1000ES is priced at about $25000.

I've attached the revised proposal for the JVC. In my professional opinion this by far is the best projector for the money,
In reviews I've read the JVC is usually compared to the $25000 Sony VPL-VW1000ES.
I understand that Jeff is hung up on the lumens, honestly contrast ratio is king. The brightness of a projector normally
comes into play in a room that has a lot of ambient light, that media room is not an extremely bright room with the
shades up so more attention should be paid to the contrast ratio. I am confident once this projector is up and Jeff gets a
look at the image he will be extremely satisfied.

The contrast ratio of a machine determines it's black level relative to the white level, so a bright projector with high
lumens and low contrast ratio will have a poor black level (very grey). It will also have trouble showing shadow detail,
and as the image goes towards black (grey), there will be color desaturation.
EFTA00647145
Having a higher contrast ratio means the blacks will look blacker and the colors will stay more saturated as they get close
to black during dark scenes. You will notice much less of a 'haze' during dark scenes and shadow detail won't be lost in
the grey haze. Colors should look much better too, depending on how well calibrated the unit is once it's installed.
That being said the MSRP on the JVC is $11999.00, I too looked on the internet and found a bunch of sellers on Ebay
selling them for 8k which is a red flag. 9 out of 10 times theses sellers are not authorized dealers and once a unit is
purchased from a non-authorized dealer any and all warranties are void. Furthermore a lot of these units for sale on
Ebay are either imported from China or have been used in road shows as demo's, repackaged and sold as new.
We've been in business for a long time, servicing and maintaining the homes of quite a few extremely high profile
clients. We came to Mr. Epstein highly recommended and honestly I'm not happy with the tone and direction this
relationship is going. Please let me know if the address below is where you want me to send your funds back to.

I spoke with Mr. Epstein and he was unhappy with the 1200 lumens
In addition i checked the price of this unit online and see that it can be purchased for approximately 58000
which means you are marking up the model over 50%
Can you please suggest another model with a more appropriate markup
Thank you

Digital Projections is the 1st on our list of projectors we recommend to our clients. Normal procedure is we plug the
numbers into DP's calculator, price customer is willing to spend, distance from projector to the screen and the size of the
lift or area where the projector will live and it gives us the model that will work. If DP models don't work then we move
EFTA00647146
down the list JVC, Sharp, Epson, NEC and so on until we find something that fits into the parameters needed. Any and all
equipment we recommend and are dealers of have been thoroughly tested and vetted for performance and quality. Our
clients come first and we would never recommend anything, whether it's a projector or a DVD player, that we don't
stand behind 100%.
The Sony model that's currently there is a 3000:1 contrast ratio with a lumens of 1600. The JVC we are recommending is
120,000:1 contrast ratio and a lumens of 1200, this is the highest contrast ratio in the industry. It is full 1080p HD and is
capable of up to 4x HD, the lens is a built in motorized lens that allows zoom and focus for different screen sizes and can
achieve Cinemascope without the need of a anamorphic lens. There will be no issue with the lens as we had with the DP
and from my conversations with Richard who told me about searching the country for the last lens available for the Sony
a few years back. This projector is also 3D ready.
I feel totally comfortable recommending this projector especially with it working within the confines of the price
specified by the principal. I'm sure he will be extremely pleased with it.

can you please outline for me the lumens, contrast ratio, lens size and verify that this is 1080p
in addition the cost of this projector is actually less than the original M Vision Cine 400 (12,250 vs 12,995)?
if this model is so similiar to original model why was this never recommended
please advise

Hi Richard,
As per our conversation earlier this week the Digital Projections unit we speced in is no longer viable due to the
discontinuation of the lens needed for the throw distance to the screen, the measurement from the projector to the
screen. The remaining 2 lenses that DP have would require the projector either be moved closer or farther away which
obviously is not an option.
Another projector we recommend is the DLA-RS65 reference series by JVC
) This is an extremely solid
model and falls into the principal's price range, it's THX certified and offers over 120,000:1 native contrast ratio. Similar
to the Sony that's currently there the video processing of the JVC is exactly how the filmmaker intended them to be
displayed. The price of this model is $12,250 and we can get it within days. Let me know if you have any questions.
