Dear Mr. Epstein and Mr. Kahn,
Ann took a lot of photos, which she sent it to me so I can explain my work.
First of all, the photos do not reflect the real color. When you look at the picture #8, you will see everything
very brown. It does not look like this. We decided ( when Ann was in the Library ) that she will take the
picture against the window, because it would look too light. There is a fair amount of white-wash ( about
75%) on the columns, as I would like to bring the amount of white and exposed ridges of wood to some
balance. The reason for this is the most convenient balance; you can go more white or less white later with
wax. Before I went to NY, I covered some of the columns with white-wash, for they lacked enough white.
Now I would like to take very carefully some of it down to balance white and wood and ridges of wood. Please
trust me this is not fair photo. I can go to the Library and take another photo, that will show 90% white. This is
why, I would like to go to the photo shop tomorrow and buy a filter, which in turn will enable me to take more
accurate photos. I mentioned the difficulties with taking pictures before. Please call Ann and she shall explain
the angle from which the photo was taken. I am very careful now with all my work and will send you photos
that will reflect real color.
Respectfully,
Brandon Thompson
